If you’re a fan of craft beer, you may want to visit a local brewery. There are several options available, including tours and free samples. However, you may not want to drive all the way to Kansas City just to sample one beer. Instead, consider taking a day trip to your local Kansas City area brewery. The tour and free samples will make the experience even better. After all, you’ll enjoy the process of making craft beer and will leave feeling refreshed and happy.

Torn Label Brewing

In December 2014, this new brewery opened in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. This week, the company will hold a beer tasting party to celebrate its grand opening. The festivities will kick off tonight at Bier Station. Until then, you can try its beers at various bars in the area. In addition to the beer tastings, you can enjoy a pizza-flavored popcorn, fried pickles, red snapper Rangoon, and chile jam with soft pretzels and fermented mustard seed dip.

Rockcreek Brewing Co.

Opening late May, Rockcreek Brewing Co. will serve a few different kinds of beer on tap. Among the offerings is Beverly Ave. Blonde Ale, brewed with Abbey Ale yeast and Tettnang hops. In addition to its beers on tap, the brewery will also serve Charlson’s Popcorn. Once business picks up, Rockcreek plans to open a food truck outside the building.

Fields & Ivy

The newly opened Fields & Ivy Kansas Brewery will soon be selling draft beer in the state. This Kansas brewery is based in Lawrence and is dedicated to producing world-class beers using only ingredients that can be grown in the state. Their brews are made with 100 percent Kansas barley malt and will hit the shelves in January 2021. Insiders can enjoy unlimited access to their growing membership platform to make their beer preferences known to the rest of the country.

Outfield Beer Co.

Outfield Beer Co. opened its doors just last week. Their beers pay homage to America’s favorite pastime while still staying true to their Midwest roots. This brewery is focusing on brewing baseball themed beers and sourcing local ingredients. Their newest beers include Helles-Style Ale, which is a hazy golden ale with Germanic grain character and American hops. The beer is slightly tart and refreshing, with a pleasant floral aroma.
